Re: No e-mail

sweetansour wrote: Need some help. For some unknown reason my phone stop receiving e-mails all it will do is the little circle on the bottom of the screen keeps spinning and "checking for mail" comes up. What did I do wrong. It's been working fine ever since I got the phone. Also I just updated to 4.02. Help Please thanks in advance. I have a 3gs Well if it has been working without a problem until now I would first just do a basic restart and see if you see a change in the phones behavior, that clears up a lot of minor issues most of the time.   Just hold down the power button until the shut-down screen comes up and slide to shutdown. Then hold the power button until the apple logo shows on screen and let go. The phone will start up and then check your email to see it that clears up the issue. :smileyhappy:

Exclusive: Motorola MB520 ‘Kobe’ boasts a Droid X-esque UI, AT&T affinity

What is Motorola Kobe? The device, also known by its model number MB520, seems to be popping up on a couple of certification websites. UPnP Forum certified it on June 16, 2010 (listed as "Kobe ATT"), and additionally on July 8th the smartphone quietly got a thumbs up from the WiFi Alliance for single band (2.4GHz) 802.11b/g/n. Of course, an IEEE standard does not a phone make, and so we've been in touch with a trusted source who's provided us with specifications of the device, as well as screencaps of some benchmarks results and the all-important About Phone page. The Kobe is a slate-style smartphone currently featuring Android 2.1 with a Motoblur skin reminiscent of Droid 2 / Droid X 's UI. We're told it has a 3.5-inch LCD with 480 x 854 resolution, a 800MHz TI OMAP processor (either 3440 or an underclocked 3630), PowerVR SGX 530 GPU, 512MB RAM, 2GB internal storage and a bundled 2GB microSD card, and a 3 megapixel camera (without flash). It currently comes loaded with Swype, Vlingo, and DNLA support. We gotta say, camera notwithstanding, this sounds like a pretty appealing addition to AT&T's growing Android lineup. Hit up the gallery below for benchmark scores. Motorola Kobe to join AT&T’s Android arsenal?

The Motorola Kobe, also known as the MB520, looks to be a mid-level Android phone that’s beginning to show its face. Looking to be directly attached to AT&T’s network, and Engadget's tipster says it's running the same sort of “Philblur” hybrid UI that is found on both the Droid X and Droid 2 .

HTC EVO 4G suffering new calendar bug, cracked shells, broken dreams?

It wouldn't be the first time the EVO's been dinged for a manufacturing defect , but it seems that at least a few owners are reporting cracks near the power button. Fortunately, these cracks seem to be purely cosmetic without any effect on feel or any real danger of the case falling apart -- and seeing how other high-profile devices have suffered similar fates , we can certainly buy that there are high-stress points in the phone's case where this is prone to happen. We'll wait a moment to continue the story while you pull your EVO out of your pocket and check yours. Alright, now that we have you back, the second issue is purely software -- and arguably quite a bit more troublesome than a tiny, harmless crack. Apparently, the recent Android 2.2 upgrade has introduced a bug whereby event descriptions are being overwritten by their locations when you open them, which basically means this is a legit data loss problem. No ETA yet on a fix, but considering that it's been filed and verified in Android's official tracking system, we're hopeful it's going to get patched up sooner rather than later. Stem Cell Stocks: Geron Corp. (Nasdaq:GERN)

That's a claim that, if proven true, has the power to create a pre- and post-stem cell world as radically different as the world that was changed by the germ theory. It's a gigantic leap that may just begin with this small step. ...

Sprint Launches 4G for Five More Markets Today, Epic 4G’s Official Site Goes Live

Sprint’s announcing the continued expansion of their growing 4G network (something that’s starting to become a nice trend for Mondays). While today’s expansion might not be as beefy as weeks past, we can’t say we’re disappointed about it. Those in Modesto and Stockton, California will finally be able to enjoy 4G coverage today after many of you were accidentally able to tap into the network not too long. Additionally, Sprint customers in Jacksonville, Florida, Wilmington, Delaware, and Grand Rapids, Michigan are all being lit up. With the HTC EVO 4G out now and the Samsung Epic 4G headed our way sometime soon, we can only imagine these 4G expansions will continue to spill out like water from a bottle as Sprint’s newfound business model mostly depends on them getting as many people as they can using 4G services. Sprint’s also launched their promotional site for the Samsung Epic 4G earlier. There’s not much to see here except some eye-candy, specs, and a sign-up form to be notified when the phone becomes available, but that should be enough to get you too click on through , no?
