service sucks

ive had this phone for about 2-3 weeks now and ive had good service until the firmware update and i was told this just made the bars more accurate allright well i was alright with that..but just recently where every i am my service is bouncing around my phone usually has 5 bars in my house right now it has 1 bar…is this a phone problem or just a problem on atts part cause i dont want the phone if it get bad service

I canceled and now I have my new phone…

For all of those thinking about canceling their order that seems to take forever to get off back order I would suggest that you do so, if your local Apple store has them in stock.

I have read all of the horror stories an this forum about the trouble people were having canceling their orders, but I thought what the heck its worth a try.

I was able to cancel within less than 3 minutes, and while I was on the phone they reset my upgrade status and insisted that I go online and check for my self before hanging up with her. Sure enough I was good to go, one hour later I’m enjoying my new IP4….

Just wanted to let everyone know.

30 days from ship

10 percent restock fees from att, apple. Authorized dealers have seen at least one post where the restock fee was 25 percent of the un-subsidized cost of the phone.

the two apple stores in this area say up to 3 weeks for the phone, best buy here had five 16gb available

iPhone 4 Getting really hot

I just got my iPhone 4 a little over a week ago and I noticed when I take pics or video it gets really hot! I just joined the forum today and Im new to this so Im not really sure if Im doing this right. So if I screw something up I apologize. So back to the phone. I was wondering if this is a common problem and if its something I should be concerned about. Its mainly in the top right corner all around the camera. It didn’t mess anything else up like the screen or any functions, just really hot. It happens with and without the case on. So Im just wondering if people are taking them back or exchanging them because if this. It seems to me like eventually it will melt or screw something up. Just let me know what you guys think. Any info will be appreciated! Thanks

What causes data usage on IPhone?

I have 8 days left in my cycle and it says i’m at 95% of my data usage (195 MB out of 200 MB). I rarely use the internet on the phone outside of my house and in my house, I’m always using WiFI (which doesn’t affect data plans).

So my question, is what could be using more data that I think it should? Are their “push notification” settings somewhere that I could tweak to prevent so much data being used?

It says like 20 MB is “sent” and like 170 MB is “received”, so I need to find out what is “receiving” so much data.

Any input would be appreciated.

Okay, so while my phone was on backorder, I had called customer service just to check and see if the possibility of it staying on backorder was going to exceed my expectations. I asked if I would receive my new two year contract by email or mail. She stated it would come with the phone. No problem.

I have my phone. No contract has ever arrived. My phone is activated and working. Any ideas? Anyone else had this happen?

I went to a local at&t store today for a car charger. It was never mentioned by them that any action was needed on my account. Maybe it’ll come later.

Anyone?

iphone 4 shipped defective to at&t store

Ordered 16g on 7/9 in a NJ store, went to pick up in store 7/22 and phone was shipped defective. Watched them open both the shipping and internal iphone boxes, with neither showing any damage. When they turned on the phone the screen was just white with faint vertical colored lines. When they went to activate it on the store’s computer/register it registered the sim but still no visual on the screen. Has this happened to anyone else’s phone when it was delivered?????

Best solution they gave me was go through the entire waiting process again and order another one (which I did) and they put me on a list for that region’s stores in case someone didn’t pick their phone up. Still waiting today for it to finally arrive again and hopefully not broken!

i heard calling cell phones eats up ur mins but the person i want to call doesnt have a house number. SO IF I USE A PHONE CARD AND CALL A CELLPHONE TO ITALY.
