Re: Hotmail ActiveSync:
It works as expected. An important limitation of Hotmail to keep in mind has to do with with folders though. You can't do sub-folders (some people call them 'nested' folders). You could create a folder called 'Receipts' for example, but if you wanted to put folders in the 'Receipts' folder like maybe 'Clothing'; 'Tech Purchases'; 'Home'; etc, you can't. It's been a limitation forever now, and they have no plans to change it -- maybe someday they'll implement this to make their service more relevant. You can create subfolders in your iPhone's email, but they won't sync over to Hotmail. Gmail however will do subfolders (and ActiveSync). Personally, I can't do without subfolders so Hotmail isn't something I'd consider for my primary email service.

Re: Data Sent while on Wifi?
http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/treo-650/72787-do-mms-pics-count-towards-data-usage.html It's an old posting from 2006 but near explanation: "I can tell you from first hand experience that MMS/Pics will cost $.25 + Kb usage. I sent one picture just for fun and it cost me $1.25. Verizon gives the lame excuse that PDA phones are charged for data. In my mind, this issue represents both double billing (.25 + Kb), and misleading advertising (they advertise MMS/Pics on their network at $.25 each, and make no mention of phone type). I plan to contact my state Attorney General! Class action, anyone?" ----------------------------- http://forums.wireless.att.com/t5/Messaging/iPhone-E-mail-MMS-and-billing/m-p/1867511 http://forums.wireless.att.com/t5/MEdia-Net/Question-about-MMS-Data-Overage-Charge/m-p/1769018 Another similarity posts on AT&T Forums with a mixture of features "While looking at my online usage I see a data charge for 150KB the same minute where I knew I sent an MMS message. My Blackjack 2 shows the message was 501KB."

Re: Stuck outgoing message
It may be a software bug on either GMail, GMail2, or MSN Try removing MSN first Next you may try resetting all settings or network settings Settings General Reset Reset All Settings / Network settings Another would be to restore as backup or new iPhone To add note, I've never seen "Outbox" with that many messages aside from the factor that Microsoft "HotMail" Exchange instructions were announced. edit: http://forums.applenova.com/showthread.php?t=29253 similar posting

To Those Who Are Concerned With Backordered iPhone Statuses (3Gs Experience)
As soon as I ordered my Refurbished White iPhone 3Gs 16GB yesterday, it went on Backorder status. This definitely frustrated me, because the site seemed to be misleading in indicating it was in stock, when obviously it wasn't?! Anyway, I came here to the forums and found that a lot of people were waiting a very long time on their purchases to come off of Backorder, process, ship, and get to their front door. Anyway, I did some calling, and found that no one around my area has anything iPhone 3Gs in stock (Black or White), so I decided just to wait it out, and try complaining to AT&T to see if they could cut me some sort of break on my bill for.. well.. misleading me. I checked back on the status of my order later last night, and lo and behold, my purchase (with the exception of a cancelled case) had been shipped! This caught me by surprise, and sort of made me nervous... the shipping date indicated it was shipped to me the day BEFORE I made the order. I clicked on the tracking number, and USPS varified that earlier in the afternoon, it had been Accepted in Fort Worth, and now.. well, I'm keeping track of that =) (It should be in Kansas City or Springfield, MO sometime today/tonight, and at my local Post Office for processing the day after tomorrow. Or, that's how many mailing experiences from Mid-Texas have gone for me, at least.) Anyway, the point of this was to let you all know my experience was confusing, but quick. I'll let you know how shipping goes, but don't be skeptical. If you want that phone, but you're worried about the wait, look around. If no one has it, you might as well place the order and hope that you go through a similar experience. Now, I get look forward to a limited data usage plan... not. =P

Stuck outgoing message
Does anyone know how to get rid of this? The stuck message shows up here as "4294967295" in this greyed out "Outbox," but if I click on the outbox it's empty. I tried to send the message a few days ago. Apparently it was too big to send, so it got stuck. Since then I've been seeing this. I can't find the email anywhere else on the iPhone, or anywhere else on my PC in Gmail. Just this. I've tried uninstalling the Gmail account I used, uninstalling all my accounts and restarting. Everything. Once I reinstall the accounts, its there stuck in this Outbox. Thanks for any suggestions.
