Zagg InvisibleSHIELD Dry – Anyone use this?
I noticed the AT&T site has an (out of stock) DRY version of Zagg. Searching Google doesn't pull up more than a press release about how it was just announced and is exclusive to AT&T. Anyway, just wondering if anyone has tried it, and what your thoughts are on it? I went the slightly cheaper route with a Skinomi TechSkin from Amazon - same wet install, which as a first timer to wet installs made me VERY nervous! I installed on both my husband and my phones - mine looks pretty good, but his has all these tiny bubbles that haven't faded yet. I tend to prefer the dry install screen protectors - had a great one for my blackberry - the type that comes w/ plastic on the front/back and little pieces of tape to help you install it. Hard to explain, lol. Anyway, wondering how the Zagg Dry is - if it's a much easier install than the wet one. Is it a smooth surface - does it feel like a soft plastic like the wet types, or a nice hard surface like the other dry ones (ex Griffin makes one, and that was a good install and nice smooth surface (had an old 3g one that I used temporarily til the one for the iPhone 4 arrived). Thanks in advance!

Power Support Screen Protectors
If you want a good screen protector that won't peel off or look grungy in a month or 2, then you should try the Power Support Screen Protectors. They have Anti-glare and Crystal (clear) types. I had the anti-glare for my 3GS since Oct. '09 and it looks as new as the day I put it on. I am ordering the crystal for my Mom since she now uses it and needs the screen to be brighter. The anti-glare adds a little graininess if you will to the screen, so it makes it a little duller for anti-glare purposes. The 3GS screens are on Amazon as well as their site for $14.95 and the ones for the iPhone 4 are available for pre-order. However, I just called them to ask how many protectors come in the pack for the iPhone 4 and he thinks there are 2, but he also says they may decide to come out with a front/back version too. So he said to wait until mid July to see which ones they will have. Well worth the money and I hear they fit better then Zagg. I don't have any experience with Zagg, so I can't personally compare. http://www.powersupportusa.com/accessories/iphone-4.html

Want the HTC EVO 4G? It’s sold out
Sprint's record breaking HTC EVO 4G is apparently sold out across the United States, with more shipments expected later in the week. The EVO 4G broke Sprint's one-day sales record for a phone , with an estimated 320,000 units sold on June 4th, the day the device launched. More importantly for Sprint, the numbers crush launch day sales of the Palm Pre , which launched to fanfare last year but quickly faded. EVO demand continues to remain strong. Sprint, Best Buy, Radio Shack, Wal-Mart, Amazon and many others have all reported being sold out of the smartphone. The next batch of phones are set aside for those that pre-ordered, notes Sprint. The HTC EVO 4G boasts a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1GB ROM, 512MB RAM , a 1500 mAh battery and an 8GB microSD card. The device has a 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive multi-touchscreen display (with pinch to zoom), Android 2.1 with Sense UI, Google Search, Google Maps, Google Talk , Gmail, Google Goggles, YouTube, Google Calendar syncing, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and 3G/4G Mobile Hotspot capability for connecting up to eight Wi-Fi enabled devices. Additionally, the device has GPS with Sprint Navigation, a Digital compass, Bluetooth 2.1, a 3.5mm headset jack, FM radio, Amazon MP3 store, Qik video sharing, HDMI out a kickstand for hands-free viewing, an 8MP autofocus camera with dual LED flash (and 720p HD video recording) and an additional 1.3MP front-facing camera for video conferencing. The device costs $200 with contract. Permalink | Comments

Google Android tablet reportedly coming to Verizon
That rumored Android tablet form Google has been recently confirmed by Verizon’s CEO Lowell McAdam, who said the largest North America carrier is already working with Google to bring the tablet to its network. More exactly, Verizon’s CEO declared to The Wall Street Journal that the company is “looking at all the things Google has in its archives that we could put on a tablet to make it a great experience.” He didn’t disclose further details, like the features, launch date, or the price of the upcoming tablet. Anyway, all this makes perfect sense: AT&T has the iPhone and the iPad, while Verizon gets high-end Android smartphones (like the HTC Incredible ) and Android tablets. Lowell McAdam agreed that “Verizon has been handicapped by its CDMA network technology” and that’s why it has some catching up to do when it comes to non-phone devices (like tablets and Amazon’s Kindle – which is available through AT&T). Apple has already proved that a tablet can be quite successful (it already sold 1 million iPads ), so both Google and Verizon are probably confident that their tablet won’t be a flop. Samsung is also working on an Android tablet , but this might not be launched in the US. Similar Posts: Samsung Android tablet (S-Pad) to come in August with Super AMOLED display? Google Will Launch E-Book Service in Early Summer
Not one to be behind the times, Google has just announced their e-book store Google Editions will be launching this summer in a bid to compete head to head with Apple and Amazon’s e-publication offerings. Google Editions will be available for retailers to sell e-books directly from their own sites, with the profit split allowing them to keep the majority of the earnings. Google will also feature their bookstore through their popular Google Books search engine (a service that helped me to not purchase a single book for my final two years of college). While it was not announced along with the venture, Google Editions should no doubt sport its own Android-native application for e-book reading on mobile phones and tablets (and if it doesn’t I would be surprised). This would be more than welcome, as good e-book readers are rather limited on Android currently. However, back when Google first started talking about Editions, they made it clear that they would like their e-book service to be compatible with every device, so it won’t be Android exclusive. Much to the chagrin of Steve Jobs, books purchased through Google editions should work with even the iPad, given Google’s use of the ePub standard. Now let’s see if Google can deliver a truly great e-reading experience. [via Wall Street Journal ]
