nokia e71x, "Operator Proxyless"
anyway i finally got an app to work on my phone, but when i connect with medianet it wont transfer data, but when i use operator proxyless it does. what is Operator Proxyless, and will i see a jump in my bill using it?

E71x-Pulling off individual text/multimedia messages
Anybody know of a method to pull off individual text/multimedia messages from an E71x? I used the USB connection but I didn't see a directory containing individual messages. And I can't forward the messages to another eMail address because I don't have a data plan. Any suggestions? Thanks. Dean J.

E71x and AT&T – an unfortunate story
I had first bought Nokia E71x in late April, 2009. It worked fine for about 10 months (not to count handicapped Java, the cut frontal camera, poor product support, and a bunch of almost unremovable bloatware uploaded by AT&T to the poor disabled sibling of the glorious Nokia E71 NAM). After 10 months it started to randomly reboot, especially when the 3G/GSM sygnal was weak or disappeared and then reappeared again (a typical situation for the NYC Subway riders). So I brought the phone back to an AT&T service center where they took it and gave me instead a new (refurbished?) phone. Happily I had come in an AT&T office just in time, 2 weeks before the guarantee was over. To make a long story short, - during the summer I was working in a hardly accessible place from where it was nearly impossible for me to get to a local AT&T office. Why should I bother? Because my other E71x broke (the earpiece went totally dead, or deaf, as you like it) in 2.5 months after I had gotten it. But this time the guarantee was only 3 months, not a year. When I returned back to New York, I was told that 3 months passed. Two options they offered were: 1. Get a new E71x with another 2-year contract (No thank you!); 2. Get "a comparable handset" for $100 with the same above contract. Ridiculous: the E71x was my fourth smartphone by Nokia (previous were all unlocked 6600, 6630, and E61), the first subsidised device I got from AT&T, and the first Nokia that died so quickly. Twice. That said, the contract is still not terminated, the phone is not dead but useless. And all I can do is get a new contract choosing among a limited amount of handsets (why should I be buying an unlocked device whereas monthly payments are exactly the same?) This is the story I just wanted to share with you. I don't know what to do. So for now I stay with my good old E61 (although with no American 3G frequences and no camera).

nokia e71x maps
alright guys brace your selves this is one of the millions of post abt ovi maps and its nemesis e71x. So like everyone else, I am trying to use GPS without paying ATT bag full of money. this is what i have done until now 1) installed ovi nokia (updated version) 2) installed PC suit, map uploader, map updater from http://maps.nokia.com/services-and-apps/ovi-maps/free-downloads?intc=ncomexpserv-fw-ilc-lft-con-na-ncomexpserveu-g0-20-freecountrymapsleft_0x0 -THEY ARE ALL THE SAME FILE!! 3) installed "nokia_maps_2_0_0701_3.2_u.sis, "nokia_maps_3.0_0302_3.2_u.sis, 4) installed "nokia_maps_3.03_10wk11_b04_s60_3.1_rom.Nocs" but it does not work. it says its not compatible. - now i have the map application in my phone (which i was able to open once) BUT i cant open it now cuz i get two errors.. 1st "not enough memory" which cant be correct i have 8 GB card. 2nd "not validated" - now i dont have the country map (which i dont know where to get it from cuz whn i go to nokia site and try to download "country maps" it takes me to the same page as the link i provided before and installs the same file as #4) 5) I removed the nokia map and reinstalled it but still doesnt work. 6) installed google map (it opens up and seem to be working) i hope i have not missed any oher steps but if my memory serves correnctly, this is all i have done. so my question is 1) how do i start my nokia map app 2) where do i download the USA map (if someone has the file can you please sent it do me) 3) how do i use the google map, nokia map to get the driving directions. thanks

Hello everyone, I am trying to connect my phone with my computer. the prob is that I cant find the code to connect my comp to my phone. i searched online but no one seem to have it. can someone help me with this. i dont have the original manual with me. I read somewhere that, you can get it through there but I dont have it. is there a way i can get the code? thanx

SMS message forwarding with E71x
My E71x is my work phone which I only carry on weekdays. Is there a way to forward any SMS messages that are sent to my E71x on weekends to my personal mobile phone. I have tried a program for the E71x called Advanced SMS but it only sends the body of the original message, not any info about the original sender so I have no idea who sent it to me. I've searched for settings on the E71x but I haven't been able to find anything. Any help would be appreciated.

AT&T Sim Card in my Nokia 5800 (unlock)
I want to buy a Prepaid Go phone (Nokia 2330) but I want to use AT&T Sim card in my unlock Nokia Xpress Music 5800. I am wondering if At&T Sim Card will work in my Nokia 5800 phone ? OR Do I have to register the IMEI to At&T first before using it ? Any idea ? Many Thanks, HK
