Pre-order iPhone confirmation email or phone call

I pre-ordered the black 32GB iPhone 3Gs on June 30th. July 2nd I checked the order status both by phone and online. AT&T website stated it was shipped that day and provided a Fedex tracking number. Fedex was scheduled to deliver it the next day. July 3rd AT&T website status was the still same but Fedex status was delivered and provided a name and signature. They charged my bank account that day. I figure since it was a holiday weekend it might take a day or 2. 6 days later the AT&T status is still the same. No confirmation email or phone call. Is it normail to take this long for them to notify you? Should I call or just go to the store with my information?
