Ever had an "Oh Crud" moment
I had decided to try the new iPhone OS 3.1 Beta that was released the other day. I started the process just the same as I had countless times during the OS 3.0 beta that I used on my two iPhone 3G devices.
Â
I go and download the beta and proceed to install it. Once done the device reboots like normal and then all of a sudden it happened.

Â
Â
Â
Â
"This device is not registered as part of the iPhone Developer Program"Â Â :smileysurprised:
Â
Â
I could not believe it. I had done it so many times over the past few months I totally overlooked the fact that I replaced my 3G with the new 3GS and never registered its UUID with the program.
Â
So there I sat with a dead in the water iPhone 3GS :smileysad: I about freaked. After a while my heart started beating again and blood returned to my paralyzed brain.
Â
I was able to revert back to the OS 3.0 without much of an issue which was suspiring after getting the device out of the error after it restored. Oddly I had no problems making calls which I thought would have been a problem with the new baseband. Promptly got the devices UUID and entered it into my developers account and reinstalled OS 3.1 beta.
Â
Â
I guess the moral of the story is Do not get complacent with what you are doing. It will come back to bite you in the rear.
Â
I think I’m going to go take a few Migraine pills.
